Having never bought a house before and being familiar with the process, this company left a sour taste in my mouth. After a good initial contact with reviewing a contract and recommendation (weekend). Contract was re drafted and sent back to me. I sent it back to Heritage for further review and that person I was dealing with asked for confirmation of a few things in which I replied back. Then no communication and heard nothing. Couldn’t call as their was no number on the email. Called office on the off chance someone may pick up, nothing. Called their office the next day on Monday. A person answered and told me that the person dealing with me was sitting next to them but they were too busy as they had with X amounts of settlements and likely will not get back to me that day. That person then asked me what is it that I wanted from the conveyancer. Feeling like an inconvenience at this point I explained my situation and needed urgency on the matter furthermore I needed the process explained. I requested that persons direct contact phone number. I was told email is the best form of communication with that conveyancer and that they will get back to me tomorrow and just wait for the reply. I just told the person on the phone no worries and thanked them. Agent called me when he didn’t have to that they went with someone else as they couldn’t wait. Didn’t waste any further time with this conveyancing company. There is no richness in communication when you are supplied with only an email and/or you have to call someone at the office who then may or may not transfer the call especially if they are next to the call taker. Poor service. Your office number may be at the bottom of each email but there’s no direct contact number for the paralegal I was dealing with for urgent matters. Especially in the weekend when you’re likely to get a contract based on an accepted offer. repliedHeritage Conveyancing14 Oct 2023
Mick. I am very sorry that you have had that experience. Our contact number is on the bottom of all of our emails. Our principal will reach out to you next week to discuss the matter with you as this is not what our firm represents.
