I have full insurance and I guarantee my work.I must be able to talk with the client to organize the nights procedure and I must have background information on the function.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always been a musician.I started playing with different characters several years ago and when I started creating Carlos I thought I would get about 1 year out of him,anyway 20 years later I'm still performing as Carlos Hopontopofus to sell out crowds.

A fellow recently told me that he has been having a bad time with illness and that my show made him really laugh for the first time in many years.He thanked me for making his night !

I love the challenge of meeting new people and making their function something really special.It is a great feeling to make people laugh,to help them to forget their worries and just kick back.

When is the best time to do the show ? When all the meals have been served,everyone has had their coffee and desert and are ready to settle back and enjoy the show. Should we serve meals during the show ? I say never ! Each punchline and joke in the show is carefully timed,You need everyone's attention or the jokes fall on deaf ears.You need people focused and ready to enjoy the show  with no distractions. How do I include my guests in the show ? Just send me an email with one or two lines of information and I will write it into the show. I only have a small messy room for you to change in. Don't worry I can change almost anywhere as long as it's private. What if I need to hire production for you. Email me and I will tell you what I need. How do I contact you ? Just email me,Skype me or phone me, I'm really approachable. I have special needs for my function. Don't worry we can talk over what you need and certainly work out the details.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

I need to know how big is the function,where the venue is, and what are my travel and production needs. I required $200 +gst deposit  I need a change room  close to the stage to dress. I bring a sound man with me for larger functions.I can be fully self contained for smaller shows.I require meals and accommodation for two people.

To have to phone specific agencies for a comedian and or soloist can be very time consuming and costly.I provide a complete service by providing a soloist and comedy floor show all in one . Your dinner music,dance music and comedy section for the whole night is complete. Over 30 years experience in the music and entertainment industry.

I offer a full nights entertainment as a soloist and comedy floor show combined.You don't need to get a head ache worrying about filling up the nights entertainment and blowing your budget.

How do you normally charge for your service?

To hire my services I require a $200 +gst deposit into my bank account provided on service.Shows start at $1200 + gst for 2 piano brackets and a Carlos comedy show bracket 40 minutes to 1 hour . If travel out of Newcastle is required I need extra travel money and accommodation. I also have a sound man who travels with me. We would require room /accommodation for 2 and production.The fee also depends on the the venue and requirements.

I specialize in function entertainment and private parties.My main area of expertise is that I am able to personalize my show  for the client.Just give me some background information on guests and I will include them into my show in a positive fun way. As another string to my bow I also write Jingles for radio and television.
